Trump chides Maine governor at CPAC after conflict at White Area

Nationwide Harbor, Md. – President Trump chided Maine Gov. Janet Turbines (D) on degree on the Conservative Political Motion Convention on Saturday after the 2 clashed the day sooner than on the White Area over transgender athletes in girls’s sports activities. 

“You saw Maine yesterday, right? The governor of Maine,” Trump stated, eliciting boos from the target audience. “She’s combating to stay males in girls’s sports activities. You ever see what occurs to a girl when a lady bins a person who transitioned to womanhood? You ever see what occurs? It’s no longer lovely.” 

“Let her do that fight. Let them all do that fight,” Trump stated.

Turbines went head-to-head with Trump on the Nationwide Governors Affiliation consultation on the White Area on Friday after the president informed a bunch of Republican governors that he would withhold investment from the state over its refusal to conform to an government order barring transgender athletes from competing in girls and women’ sports activities. 

Trump without delay requested the governor all the way through the consultation whether or not the state would observe the order, to which Turbines spoke back, “I’m complying with state and federal law.” 

“We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get federal funding,” Trump stated. 

“See you in court,” Turbines spoke back.
